Simple North began at the intersection of wellness, scent, and design. After years working as a massage therapist, I became increasingly interested in the quieter ways our surroundings can influence how we feel. Aromatherapy gave that curiosity a language, and candle making gave it a form.

The beginning
From 2011 to 2018, my work as a massage therapist centered on helping people feel more at ease in their bodies and everyday lives. When I began studying aromatherapy, I was drawn to the way scent could support mood, shape the atmosphere of a space, and become part of how we care for ourselves.
Candles became the natural meeting point. They allowed me to bring fragrance, light, material, and atmosphere together for everyday living. I began with natural soy wax and carefully selected ingredients, then developed fragrances inspired by landscapes, seasons, and moments I wanted to return to.
Simple North is built around a simple idea—fragrance, light, and thoughtful design can change the way a space feels.
Scent, space & design
Made with the whole room in mind
An artistic background and long-standing interest in interiors shaped the visual side of Simple North. I wanted each candle to feel as considered on a shelf as it does when lit—clean glass, understated labels, natural materials, and a sense of simplicity influenced by Scandinavian design.
That same approach guides the fragrances. Rather than designing around trends, I look to coastlines, forests, gardens, seasons, and familiar moments—places and feelings with enough character to stay with you.

Hand poured
Every candle is poured in small batches with attention to the details that shape burn, scent, and finish.
Designed for the home
Fragrance, vessel, label, and packaging are considered together so the finished candle feels calm and intentional in the space around it.

A slower way to enjoy the spaces around us
Simple North brings together the parts of my life I care about most: wellness, nature, creativity, and home. My hope is that what I make gives you a reason to slow down for a moment, notice your surroundings, and enjoy them a little more.
